This course is aimed at: SpRs who have completed their core cardiology training
The programme will include a combination of live and recorded cases, focussed clinical reviews and “how to sessions”. The topics covered will include:
Basics of coronary intervention
Case selection and patient preparation, vascular access, lesion assessment and radiation protection
Adjuctive diagnostic tools
IVUS, pressure wire and OCT
Equipment
Guide catheter and wire selection, balloons and stents
Complex and high risk PCI
Bifurcation lesions, calcified disease and multi vessel PCI
PCI complications
No reflow, coronary perforation and thrombus
Non coronary intervention and emerging techniques
